Tag Unveiling
We’ve been itching to share this with you for weeks! We’re excited to announce that the NP Summit 13 tag design is now live! Watch the unveiling video below:
We had tons of fun making this video and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. A special thanks to the team at Harry Ainlay High School for designing the logo and printing the stencils.
The tag design is inspired by the Walterdale Bridge. While a fairly new Edmonton landmark, having just opened in 2017, it has quickly become an icon of our city. It will have a prominent role at NP Summit 13 activities, including being the location of the Thursday, June 5 race package pickup and being part of the Saturday, June 7 relay race route.
In case you’re wondering what a tag is, it’s a logo that gets spray painted onto shirts using a stencil. Each NP Summit has its own limited edition tag that’s only available at the event.
This tag will only be available at the Friday, June 6 workout at Commonwealth Stadium. #JustShowUp with an extra t-shirt at 6am to get yours. It’s all free! Note, due to time constraints, we’ll only be tagging this logo on June 6, not the full November Project logo - to get that one, come to select Friday workouts at Walterdale Hill throughout the summer or to workouts in your home NP City.
Saturday Party Details
It doesn’t get more Edmonton that this! The evening of Saturday, June 7 is going to be a one-of-a kind party in a super unique venue: the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market. We’re thrilled to share a few details about our plans to end NP Summit 13 on a high note.
When we say this venue is unique, we truly mean it. The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market operates every Saturday in a historic building that once housed Edmonton’s buses and street cars. It’ll be operating as a market until 3pm on June 7. After 3pm, our NP volunteers are going to take it over and transform it into a giant party venue by 6pm. This has never been done before in this building so we’re excited to create an unprecedented experience for NP Summit 13. We’ll also be closing off the street in front of the building to make this a full festival.
Inside the market building, we’ll have a DJ, dance floor, and bar. Outside, we’ll have a beer garden, food trucks, and games. There will also be a special appearance by our friends, the Brasstactics.
The party is a free event! However, it will be ticketed. Anyone who shows up to the workout, registers for the race, registers to cheer, or registers to volunteer will get a free ticket for entry to the party.
That’s all for this month’s update. Be sure to get in the draw by registering before April 5. To read past monthly updates, please visit this link. Check your inbox on April 5 for more updates!
